Welcome to the website of the Herdwyck Consort,

a vocal group based in Cumbria.

Founded in 2010, and named after the Viking hill-pastures that were home to Cumbria's iconic breed of sheep, the Herdwyck Consort quickly established a reputation for its emotive and exciting performances in venues all around the county. It has a wide-ranging repertoire but specialises in music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The consort consists of eight singers drawn from all over Cumbria and performs much of its music unaccompanied, but also regularly collaborates with other musicians in the county.

As well as performing regular concerts, the consort can also be hired for weddings or other private events.
